Wes Davis
Wes currently serves as Program Officer, Grantmaking. In this role, he is part of the grant evaluation team and a primary point of contact for potential applicants and grantees, and works to shepherd nonprofits through our responsive grant application and funding process. Through this work, we aim to understand each organization, their current context, and their request.
Prior to joining the Longwood Foundation, Wes served as the Director of Development for West End Neighborhood House in Wilmington from 2012-2023, and worked in grant writing and fundraising for the Latin American Community Center from 2008-2012.
In addition to his responsibilities at the Longwood Foundation, Wes currently serves on the Elder Board of Willowdale Chapel (a non-denominational church in Kennett Square, PA) and works closely with the Hispanic Ministry, volunteering on the worship team. Wes also serves as a member of the Programs Committee of Amanecer Counseling and Resource Center, as well as the Programs Committee of the Brandywine Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
