Exploring Funding Flexibility for Your Recent Grant

If your plans have shifted, this process may offer some room to adjust.

Thank you for your continued efforts to improve the quality of life in our region. At the Longwood Foundation, we’ve long said that our success is tied to yours.

We recognize that the recent shifts in federal funding—and their ripple effects at the state level—are already having a real impact across our nonprofit community. Many of you have had to make difficult decisions affecting staff, programs, and the people you serve. We see that. We care deeply about what this moment means for your organization and for the communities you support.

In light of this, some organizations may find that the project Longwood funded is no longer applicable or a priority due to changes in their environment or needs. If that’s the case for your organization, you may request to reallocate those funds to better align with your current plans. We are accepting Reallocation Requests on a case-by-case basis for current grantees awarded in the Fall 2024 cycle or earlier. In most instances, an approved reallocation will not affect your Eligibility to Return as outlined in your Grant Agreement.

How to Submit a Reallocation Request:

  • Reallocation requests will be accepted on a rolling basis through at least the end of 2025. If you’d like to submit one after that point, please check with us first to confirm the process is still open.
  • Requests must be submitted via an online form: https://wkf.ms/4nR5uwi (or via the button below). A blank copy of the form, for planning purposes only, is also available. An email containing this information was also sent to grantees in July 2025.
  • Once submitted, your original grant evaluator will reach out to discuss next steps.

If you have any questions, please contact Mary Lowe, Grants Manager, at mlowe@longwood.org or (302) 688-9867.

We know many of you are navigating an incredibly complex environment—and we’re grateful for your thoughtfulness, adaptability, and steady commitment to your mission. We hope this option provides a helpful degree of flexibility as you continue leading through change.
