Longwood Foundation’s Catalysts Together is an innovative leadership program designed for nonprofit executive leaders. It invests in you, the Catalyst, by providing the culture, resources, and experiences needed to be supported in your role. Created with executive leaders, the program connects you Together with peers to transform your leadership, ignite impact in your organization, and enhance quality of life across our region.

Catalysts Together focuses on harnessing the power of peer-to-peer relationships to significantly influence and grow regional nonprofit leadership. The learning experience provided by expert facilitators builds the infrastructure for lifelong learning amongst peers. Moreover, the program connects nonprofit executives with the skills, resources, and network to run healthy, sustainable, and resilient mission-driven organizations. You will leave this program a better leader with an accelerated vision for organizational success.

Program Features

Monthly Peer Forums

Led by a facilitator, experience a structured and trusted space to confidentially share your challenges with your peers and get game-changing feedback. You’ll also get a good meal and an opportunity to connect with CT leaders in prior classes.

 

Leader and Organization Assessments

Set meaningful goals for yourself and your organization. Confidential assessments help you discover where you are in this moment of time enabling you to use the information to focus conversations, goals, and progress.

Executive Coaching

Crave accountability? Professional coaches will provide tailored and targeted support to help you maximize your program experience.

Convenings and a Restorative Retreat

With dedicated time to step back, connect and rest, you will build a deeper connection with yourself and other executives in the region.

$10,000 Capacity Building Wallet

You can use this financial incentive to explore other avenues of capacity-building that are critical to the development of yourself, your team or your organization.

(Optional) Catchafire: Skills-Based Volunteer Matching for Your Organization

You can opt into one year of Catchafire, a third-party platform that connects everyone in your organization to a national network of volunteers who are ready to assist with your organization’s projects and needs.

Cost and Key Dates

Program Cost

Longwood Foundation will underwrite most of the real value of the Catalysts Together program which equates to approximately $40,000 per person. In return, we ask for your time, effort, work, and commitment to leverage this program to strengthen yourself and your organization. The program fee is $5,000 for the initial 12 months. Limited scholarships are available for organizations that have budgets under $1,000,000 and demonstrate need through a scholarship application.

You will also be responsible for some direct travel and travel-related costs:

  • Transportation by car to the overnight retreat
  • Transportation by car to monthly peer forums and convenings (in New Castle County, DE).

Key Dates & Event Locations

Catalysts Together is an ongoing commitment. The initial phase of the program is 12 months designed to maintain an ongoing peer network. Unless noted, all activities are in person and mandatory. Candidates must attend the following events:

  • Program Kick Off: (October 8, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) DuPont Country Club
  • Monthly Peer Forums: (Every 3rd Wednesday, beginning Nov. 2024): Buena Vista, 661 S Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720
  • Executive Coaching: Virtual
  • Overnight Retreat: (March 18-19, 2026): Royal Oak, MD
  • Closing Convening: (September 16, 2026): Location TBD
